Two Strikes And a Double

UfO Hefewiezen
Looks Like miller, for an unfiltered beer I couldn't see any cloudiness at all, taste kinda like a hefe, has a wheat smell to it.
That said its smooth but I just didn't like it

Widmer Hefewiezen
Not bad but nothing stands out, not much of a nose to it. Orangish color and it is cloudy, hints of orange and wheat in the flavor. better than the UfO.

Shiner Hefewiezen
Its Shiner, the Spoetzl Brewery has yet to brew a bad beer in my opinion. Shiner is a great beer. It is by no means the best of the best, not even top 10. Not the best beers I have ever had either, but definitely my favorite brand.
The Hefe is no exception, its smooth and has a nice wheat flavor with hints of citrus. Not much head on this beer, but its smooth and has a nice unfiltered cloud in the color. Smells like a hefe should, and its very refreshing.

Terrapin Rye Pale Ale

I enjoyed this beer. It has a nice pour the head comes out a little smaller than most pale ales and dissipates rather fast. But the aroma hangs around for awhile. It smells of hops with a hint of rye.

The rye gives it a bit of a sweeter taste then other grains with a hint of sour. The hops balance out the rye perfectly.

I enjoyed drinking this beer slowly. Great for a cool summer evening.

Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy

It Seems the Latest Beer fad is beer infused with lemon. Leinenkugel has cooked up another version, a wheat beer brewed with lemonade.

When you pour it is a slightly separated you can see the whitish yellow from the lemonade and the yellowish gold color of the beer, and a nice white head. Let it sit for a few seconds and the carbonation will mix it up to a nice yellow bronze color.

The smell is pretty much wheat and lemonade with a tiny bit of hops.

As far as taste goes this is defiantly better then most other lemon beers I have had, but it falls a little short of other wheat beers and hefenwiezens you can get and add that twist yourself. The Summer Shandy primarily taste of wheat and lemonade, there is not much hops flavor and almost no aftertaste other than lemonade. That said this would make a great beer for a hot summer day.

This is in my opinion a much better beer than the berry wies that Leinenkugel also makes. 3 caps easy

Leinenkugel's Berry Weiss

This is not beer. OK technically I guess it is seeing as how it is malted and fermented. But by taste I would classify it as a wine cooler or such.

Its smooth and sweet it has a defiantly noticeable berry flavor about as noticeable as a sledgehammer to the toe.
I didn't like it much it kinda tasted like bad fruit punch.

For the first time I give a beer a single cap

Singletrack

Image and video hosting by TinyPic Boulder Beer Singletrack Copper Ale

This Is a microbrew made in Colorado. Its a red ale, smooth and crisp, it has tinges of citrus, and you can taste the barley and rye. its a very enjoyable drink after a day at work. You can sip it while sitting on your back porch and zoning out. It has a nice hoppy aftertaste and leaves you going back for that 2nd sip all the way down.

Homebrew

Image and video hosting by TinyPic Linebacker Bock

Ok so not sure if a review of your own beer counts but here it goes. Yes I made this myself albeit with a kit from Mr Beer But nonetheless I made it. And I like it. Its a classic bock style beer. It is dark although for a dark beer it is quite light tasting. it goes down smooth and crisp, the carbonation just right. It has a light head, You notice the sweet overtones as you take a drink and then the hops make an appearance subtle yet noticeable. I would say for those who tend to not like dark beer this would be one that can be quite enjoyable.
and so I rate this one

Beginnings

So I thought I would chronicle my adventures in beer and probably in pipe tobacco too as time progresses.

Went to world market the other day and bought 6 different beers

As beer comes in 6-packs for the most part I will use a 6 point system for rating.

so far I have had three of them

the first one I had is called

it is bottled in Australia, has a light taste, and is smooth. It is no more carbonated than any other beer I have ever had. It kinda reminded me of an american lager but with a much fuller flavor. Its a top fermented beer which means it comes out tasting more like a home-brew it even has a slight sediment on the bottom of the bottle. all in all I give it a

This German ale has a very traditional taste it goes down smooth and has a very light hop flavor, seems to have a slight sweetness about it but has a very crisp finish. Germans really know how to brew beer and this one is no exception.
Its a solid

This is a hoppy ale with a nice head on it It has an aftertaste reminiscent of Sierra Nevada Pale ale, But has a smooth finish and a very nice aroma. I really like the hops used in this beer. The experience runs the gamut with a full bouquet as you tilt it a sweet run and then a slightly bitter finish that is very smooth and clean. the hops are noticeably present but not overpowering. I am also currently drinking this one as I write. It A defiant
